Dua Lipa's Seashell Pink Manicure Completes Her Mermaid Cosplay

Dua Lipa appearing on a boat in Capri dressed like a mermaid was not on my bingo card this Monday, but I'll gladly take it. Lipa changed the entire definition of Mermaidcore when she arrived at the Jacquemus show this morning looking straight out of a fairy tale.

On June 10, Jacquemus held its La Casa show in Capri, Italy to celebrate 15 years of the brand. Stars like Gwyneth Paltrow were in attendance to pay homage to the brand's vacation-ready aesthetic, and Black Pink's Jennie closed out the show. Lipa, however, embodied the brand's fantastical approach to summer with a seashell pink manicure and blue dress from the latest collection—we couldn't tell if it was Lipa or Ariel from Disney's The Little Mermaid.

As of late, Lipa has been embodying the barely-there manicure. For the Gucci show last month, the 28-year-old wore a red manicure, opting for a simple coat of red polish with no designs, chrome, or jewels. She took a similar pared-back approach for her Jacquemus manicure, painting a soft pink shade on her naturally rounded nails, and the seashell pink mani was born.

Although her manicure leaned on the simple side, it was the perfect addition to her mermaid-esque outfit. For the show, she wore a look straight from the runway that consisted of a blue sheer dress paired with a red clutch. The dress paired with her red hair felt like Lipa arose straight from the sea. She wore her hair in a pretty half-up style that rested on her back in soft waves.
