Serena Williams has always been a bonafide beauty and style icon—remember her denim Nike tennis outfit and beaded braids? With the launch of Wyn Beauty earlier this year, the tennis legend and Byrdie cover star entered the beauty space with playful tennis-ball green products made to be sweat- and smudge-proof for every lifestyle. She attended the Met Gala in a gold Balenciaga gown, and now, is ringing in her new ESPN+ series in a quiet luxury manicure and corseted gown.
On June 13, Williams arrived at the Tribeca Festival in New York City to celebrate her new eight-part docuseries In The Arena: Serena Williams which will premiere this summer on ESPN+. For the event, the Wyn Beauty founder styled a pastel pink gown. Despite a plethora of jewelry, our favorite piece of bling was her gold French manicure.
Fancy French manicures have been everywhere since the spring, and have been co-signed by the likes of Zendaya, Chloe Bailey, and Adele. Williams' fancy manicure matched her rose-gold Audemars Piguet watch, which is a flex in itself. Her almond-shaped nails had the glassy pink base of a typical French manicure but were styled with shimmery gold tips. It was the perfect dose of subtle sparkle
The 42-year-old's dress had a corset bodice with a sheer organza halter-top and skirt that rested on the tops of her knees. Williams paired it with matching pink shoes that had a similar pearly shine to her nails. For accessories, she wore lots of diamond jewelry. She kept the monochrome moment going with her glam, wearing a pink glittery eyeshadow on her lids and a glowing pink blush on her cheeks. Her blonde hair was curled in mermaid waves that illuminated her dark roots and highlights.
We'll be taking inspiration from her quiet luxury nails all summer long.
