ICYMI: Minimalist nails are trending. Maybe it's a touch of recession-core, or it's fatigue from constant trends, but low-key nail designs are more popular than ever. And, lucky for us, that means re-creating your favorite celebrity's manicure is easier than ever. Selena Gomez has been at the forefront of the paird-back nail trend since she wore simple sherbet nails this spring, following up with her easygoing red manicure in Cannes. Her latest look is just as minimal.

On June 26, Gomez made a special appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Martin Short, her co-star on Hulu's Only Murders In The Building, has been guest-hosting the show for the past week, so it was only right that the two reunited on the late-night show. Gomez arrived earlier in the day wearing a black Versace dress, lots of jewelry, and an understated naked French manicure.

The naked French manicure is a pared-back version of your typical French manicure. There's still that classic French effect, but instead of statement white tips, it features a wash of nude polish that creates a your-nails-but-better look. Gomez's white tips are very faint but still poke through just enough to give it a classic French manicure feel.

Of course, her go-to manicurist Tom Bachik was credited for the look. On his Instagram, he revealed that he used Aprés Gel-X Tips in Natural Almond paired with Aprés Light and Shadows polish in the shade Could’ve, Should’ve, Would’ve.

The 31-year-old was dressed in a black sheer Versace dress from the Fall 2024 collection that featured the illusion of a button-up and collared sheer shirt over a strapless silhouette. She styled it with black Versace pumps, lots of Simon G jewelry, and an Aupen Nirvanna purse.

Next time you want a classic manicure that's equally as subtle, opt for Gomez's sheer French. We're sure it'll be one of the most popular nail trends this summer.
