Megan Fox's Pink Abstract Manicure Is So Cool For Summer

Many know Megan Fox for her acting, but here at Byrdie, we know her for having the sickest manicures. From chrome styles to aura nails, Fox has tried it all, but her grungy spin on classic nail styles is always what we look forward to most from the star. Her latest puts her signature Megan Fox twist on pink jelly nails with cool abstract artwork.

If you're not familiar with Fox's lore, you may not know the star deleted all of her Instagram posts this spring, and has yet to make a return to the app. However, as fans of her nails, we keep up with her manicurist, Brittney Boyce, who posted an up-close look at the 38-year-old's new set. No two nails were the same—each pink polished nail was decorated with cool swirly designs that made each feel like its own tiny work of art.

On oval-shaped nails, Fox's manicure started with a base layer of pink polish. The pink nails had an aura style to them, with a lighter shade of pink on the perimeter that blended into a darker, more neon shade with purple undertones in the center. The jelly-pink manicure would be cool on its own, but the addition of white swirls and shapes elevated the design with Fox's flair. Some had the outline of sparkles painted on whereas others had abstract swirls, and the white and pink contrast gave the nails a 3D-like effect.

Although her pink-and-white mani may be difficult to DIY at home, you can try to get a similar look by opting for layers of a similar pink polish like mixing Olive & June's Prom with Pink Sands. Start with a layer of lighter pink, and add on the darker shade in the center. However, Fox's manicurist Boyce has her own line of press-on nails, and the Lost Angels Angel Energy kit looks very similar. Simply add white swirly designs of your choice, and you have an abstract jelly mani just like Fox's.
