We are so back. Bella Hadid finally made her red carpet arrival at Cannes wearing a quintessential Bella Hadid look. The multi-hyphenate arrived at the film festival over the weekend, hanging out by the beach in her iconic off-duty style, while fans (we mean us) waited patiently to see if the star would make a red carpet appearance. And, she finally has! This time the Orebella founder wore a monochromatic brown look, down to her manicure.
Hadid took a break from the spotlight for almost a year and her presence was missed most on the carpet. Today, on May 20, Hadid made her red carpet return at the Cannes Film Festival in a sheer brown YSL dress that was giving supermodel in the best way. Although her outfit was iconic, her matching latte nails were the cherry on top.
Hadid wore her nails in a square-shaped style and the color almost matched her dress exactly. It was a tan shade, like the color of coffee once you add milk, hence the "latte" moniker. Her manicure had a glossy finish which added to the glamorous appeal of her outfit, along with her yellow-gold diamond rings.
She styled a tan sheer dress from Yves Saint Laurent's Fall 2024 collection, which had a plunging neckline with ruffle and ruched detailing through the center, and a pencil-style skirt that stopped just below her knee. We'd describe it as office-siren-meets-Cannes-mermaid. She styled the brown dress with patent chocolate brown peep-toe heels.
If you thought it couldn't get any better, turn your attention to Hadid's glam. A-listers currently can't get enough of deep, wavy side parts that feel so old Hollywood, Hadid included. She wore her dark chocolate brown hair to one side in fresh ringlets that rested on her shoulder. For beauty, she stuck to the monochrome color palette, opting for a tan lip and bronzey eyes with tight-lined black eyeliner. Aside from brown, the only other color Hadid wore was the tiniest bit of luminescent pink blush on her cheeks.
Hadid's monochromatic brown look will go down as one of the Cannes Film Festival's best. Although brown is typically regarded as a fall and winter shade, the 27-year-old makes the case for wearing the hue during the warmer months, and we're not mad about it. Catch us copying her latte nails all summer long.
