I wish the Dune: Part Two press tour would last forever, simply because of Zendaya. She soft-launched her Dune fashion era at Paris Couture Week with edgy blunt bangs and vampy makeup, and once the press tour officially started, it was only up from there. A full dystopian-chic, tattered dress kicked off the official serve spree. Then, the outfit heard around the world, the ultra-rare archival Mugler robot suit, reached a level of red carpet slayage we didn’t think was possible. Although her most recent look wasn’t as extreme, it was still very on theme.
On February 21st, Z and the Dune crew were in Seoul, South Korea, for a promotional event for the upcoming sequel. To walk the red carpet, she matched with co-star Timothée Chalamet, down to their coordinating curly hair. However, as we know, curls are nothing new for Timmy T, but Z bringing her texture out to play was so good we had to do a double take.
The look started with an edgy, biker-inspired outfit that was like if the world of Dune had biker gangs in addition to deserts and giant worms. Muted baby pink, the Juun.j one-piece was basically a biker jacket connected to biker pants. Z’s stylist, Law Roach, unzipped the jacket to create a plunging neckline, draped one side off her shoulder, and added a dangling necklace and matching baby pink heels. Timothée, also styled by Roach, posed beside her in the same look, just in baby blue and without the shoulder drape.
While the matching moment was instantly meme-able, we are mostly obsessed with Zendaya's hair. For her past few appearances, Z wore her hair straight or slicked-back. So, her bouncy natural curls came as a refreshing change.
With a shoulder-grazing length, Zendaya's hairstylist, Tai Simon, parted her curls in a deep side part and tucked the right side behind her ear. The other side was quaffed across her head, with some volume framing her face and grazing her eye and cheek. The short length perfectly showed off her soft, bouncy curls with volume and shine for days.
