Anastasia Beverly Hills

Anastasia Beverly Hills has come a long way since it was started by Anastasia Soare over 25 years ago. While the brand will always be known as the Brow Authority, it should also be praised for its innovation—the iconic DipBrow eyebrow pomade and Brow Wiz's precise pencil tip were both first-of-their-kind products. ABH's beloved Modern Renaissance palette, released in 2016, basically started the warm-toned shadow obsession, and the brand was one of the first to jump on the colorful highlighter craze with its Glow Kits. In short, ABH has always been ahead of the curve, and its new Blurring Serum Blush is just another example.

While liquid blushes are nothing new, the the Blurring Serum Blush brings an innovative approach to the category. It comes in a precise-tipped applicator and has a serum-like feel. You may have even seen your favorite influencer already use the blush—the product went viral on TikTok ahead of the official launch, and commenters were instantly fascinated by the applicator. We couldn't wait to get our hands on it ourselves and put it to the test.

Ahead, all the details on the new launch, plus our honest review.

The Product

There are a lot of new liquid or cream blushes on the market (with an emphasis on a lot). ABH's newest release, however, feels refreshing. Aside from its interesting applicator that looks like a tool out of a med spa, it also boasts an innovative serum formula that adds a flush of color and blurs the skin for a flawless finish.

The Blurring Serum Blush is blendable, light, and has an elastic feel to it that grips to the skin for all-day wear. It claims to leave a matte wash of color that looks radiant on the skin. What's more, the blush is formulated with skincare ingredients like niacinamide and pomegranate peel extract to help nourish and protect the skin while also giving the formula it's blurring effect. It comes in five shades; A peachy-pink Guava; A cool-toned Baby Pink; A bright Peach; A bright coral Hibiscus shade; and a Plum berry hue.

The Review

Bella Cacciatore

"Blush is my desert island product, so I couldn't wait to give this one a try. I love the teeny tiny applicator, which makes it easy to place the blush exactly where you want it—I love cream blush but find them hard to control, so this was a nice feature. It has a liquid-y consistency that glides right on, and blends easily without any patchiness. I actually found it a bit sheerer than expected, but it built up easily. Most cream blushes have a glowy finish, but this one is quite matte—though not flat—so that's a nice option, especially as we get into extremely sweaty territory. All in all, I think the Serum Blush is a welcome addition to my makeup bag." —Bella Cacciatore, news editor
