When you think of Sabrina Carpenter's style, you're likely thinking of anything but edgy. The former Disney star has developed a very distinct—and, if you ask the internet, iconic—style since she shed her child-star days and went full pop star. Think hyper-feminine, coquette, and all things pink; always paired with the highest of platform heels. It's an aesthetic that extends to her nails as well. Carpenter was one of the earliest adopters of the blueberry milk nail trend, and loves feminine manis like small doodles and a "fairy French" style. However, her latest manicure was anything but cutesy.

On January 30, Carpenter posted a quick Instagram story showing off her nails to the tune of her song "Feather." In the photo, we got an up-close look at the manicure and all its glossy, moody red goodness.

Each of the pop princess's nails matched with the same shape and design. Medium in length and almond in shape, the French tips each started with an ultra-glossy base. A similar color to what her natural nails would look like, just with the slightest tinge of pink, the base continued all the way to where her nails extended past her fingers. Once there, the tips formed in a circular shape around the base. The French tips were coated in a moody red hue that wasn't bright enough to be cherry but also wasn't dark enough to be a red wine shade.

If we had to pick a trending red shade it was closest to—there are seemingly endless to choose from in fashion and beauty's inescapable red renaissance—we would say it's closest to the cranberry red that has been seen on Selena Gomez and more.

Luckily for us, a cranberry French manicure is super easy to recreate at home. Plus, you probably have everything you need already in your collection.

First, as with any nail look, remove any lingering nail polish with nail polish remover. Then, cut and file your nails to the desired length and shape—this would also be the time to apply any tips or press-ons. After that, buff the surface for an even nail bed before applying your favorite base coat.

Then, it's time for color. For the base, you can either just leave the base coat, or you could reach for something like Essie's Ballet Slippers for a neutral glossy shade. Either way, wait for the base layer to dry, then create the shape of your French tip with tape. With the shape finished, paint a color like Dazzle Dry's CEO over the top, peel the tape, and let dry. Then, finish off with a high-shine top coat, and you will be matching with the pop princess.
