It's been quite the year for all things Presley family. After Austin Butler gained critical acclaim with his portrayal of Elvis, his former wife is now telling her side of the story with Priscilla, Sofia Coppola's adaptation of her memoir, Elvis and Me.The highly-anticipated A24 film, starring Cailee Spaeny as Priscilla and Jacob Elordi as Elvis, now seems to be inspiring more than just viewers to relive the aesthetics of the era—Presely's family may be taking beauty from her past looks as well.

On November 2, Priscilla's granddaughter, Riley Keough, posted a picture to her Instagram story debuting a brand new hair color reminiscent of the icon's signature shade.

Keough—who had her own big year starring in Daisy Jones & The Six—posted a quick selfie for her followers while at the Virginia Film Festival promoting her new film War Pony, which she co-directed with Gina Gammell. In the photo, we got an up-close look at her new color.

While wearing a pin-stripe Chanel sweater complete with bedazzling and two of the designer's logos, we saw her new hair—near waist-length strands in a deep jet-black color. The new look was full of a healthy sheen that gleamed in the light. It's gorgeous in its own right, but it honestly makes her look just like her grandma when she was the same age.

The last hairstyle Keough was spotted in was a similar length, texture, and cut as her current look. But, of course, it was much lighter in color. Where her current shade is as dark as her sweater, her previous look was more on trend with the extreme coppers and ginger hair colors that have been dominating lately. Though it fluctuated a bit, for the most part, she always had a reddish-brown tint to her hair that was somewhere between true ginger and mahogany.

According to the film, Priscilla's dark black hair was a direct request from The King himself, who also suggested she wear "more eye makeup." Though it's unfortunate that the look was a product of her controlling husband, there's no denying her hair became her signature look and a symbol of the glamour of the era.

If you feel inspired to go dark anytime soon, all that's left to fully enter your Priscilla-fication is copying her iconic eyeliner. Luckily for you, A24 came out with a kit to help you get it just right,
